Vergangenheitsverlag driving the digitization of its program further ahead and experiment: Just released is Knigge "On dealing with people" as a multimedia e-book including theatrical performance. The theater experience available in this edition is a recording of a performance of "etiquette. On dealing with people with Reimund Large (actor) and Hartwig Nickola (bass), directed by Annette von Klier. The play adapts the classic material and makes the reception history of this classic targeted. Everybody knows today the "etiquette", the business etiquette, the coffee-Knigge, Knigge chat, sex etiquette. The play is above all about one thing: The etiquette is not what it once was. The late Adolph Freiherr von Knigge (1752-1796) rants that generations have rewritten by editors his work beyond recognition. Now, the tormented spirit returns from the other side back into the material world to see that the people have improved since his time, not one bit: rampaging youths in subways, rushing politicians in parliament, sectarian advocates of self-imposed etiquette. If Knigge return now to personally recite his lyrics, he gets to the sensual support of his presentation made a musician to the side.
